Mr. Nolan is a litigation and trial advocacy specialist, having litigated cases in over 23 different
Michigan Circuit Courts, various Probate and District Courts, the Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court, as well as in both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the Northern District of Ohio. In 1999, Mr. Nolan served as counsel on the 9th largest jury verdict rendered in the State of Michigan for that year. Representing numerous business, municipal, individual interests over the years, Mr. Nolan’s practice has concentrated in the areas of corporate defense and contract litigation, building, zoning, and municipal law, employment contract and discrimination law, environmental law, premises liability, consumer and “lemon law aspects of personal injury litigation, wills, estate planning, and real estate matters. Mr. Nolan was selected as a student advisor/court liaison for the first ever Michigan Supreme Court “Court Community Connections” accessibility and outreach program designed to educate high school students on the issues before and inner-workings of a Supreme Court argument.
Mr. Nolan has served over the years on a number of community and charitable organizations including: Trustee, Lapeer Community Schools Board of Education, Trustee, Lapeer Community Foundation, Trustee Christian Family Services, Vice-Chairman, Trinity United Methodist Church Administrative Board, City of Lapeer Environmental Awareness Committee, as well as numerous other educational and civic organizations. |
